Susan Hall launched Susan Hall Studio in Boulder, CO, in 2012.

Hall holds a master's degree in the arts and began her formal design education at UCLA while living in Los Angeles. Before landing in CO, she raised funds for numerous non-profits in leadership roles, including the largest art museum in the West, LACMA. The Wilshire Blvd buildings were outdated and dark. There, she witnessed exactly how architecture and thoughtful design could transform light and space, specifically through the work of Renzo Piano Building Workshop. Encounters with the team and Renzo himself, a Pritzker Prize-winning Italian architect, made the greatest impression on her and eventually influenced her to pivot to interior design work. 

Susan has lived in other great cities, such as NYC, London, Washington D.C., Miami and Boston with a brief sojourn teaching English on the Greek Island of Crete. On Saturdays, she would venture to revisit the Iraklion Museum or the Palace of Knossos --which has the oldest known known flushing toilet system, built roughly 3,700 years ago by the Minoan civilization. All of this has influenced her eye and fueled her thirst to gain more knowledge of interior design, building systems and architecture. 
 
Over these years, Susan has served nearly 100 clients as the principal designer on small to large-scale projects. She deeply values this work because she collaborates closely with clients, builders, craftspeople, and architects to create new and renovated houses. She is also the proud mom of two young men, her pride and joy. Susan loves her 1975 house which she renovated herself and when there is time, she paints in her studio.
